CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (014-2011-047)

Dear Mr. Flores:

This refers to an investigation conducted by the NRC's Office of Investigations regarding activities at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine whether a contract fire protection engineer working on the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant's independent spent fuel storage installation project was discriminated against by contract management for raising safety concerns.

Based on the evidence developed, this investigation did not substantiate the allegation that a fire protection engineer was discriminated against by contract management for raising safety concerns.
