Dear Mr. Edington:
This refers to an investigation conducted by the NRC's Office of Investigations regarding activities at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. The Office of Investigations initiated the investigation to determine if a contractor maintenance technician employed at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Tonopah, Arizona, was subject to employment discrimination by DZ Atlantic and/or Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station for raising safety concerns.
Based on the evidence developed during this investigation, the allegation that a contractor maintenance technician at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station was subjected to employment discrimination by DZ Atlantic and/or Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station for raising safety concerns was not substantiated. The NRC plans no further action related to the discrimination aspect of this allegation and considers this investigation closed_
