Dear Ms. Tyson:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Office of Investigations (OI) has closed the subject case regarding whether a former employee wa s discriminated against for reporting a safety concern.
The NRC determined that the evidence obtained during the investigation did not substantiate the allegation that an employee was subject to various forms of discrimination, which culminated in termination of employment, because the employee raised a safety concern at Hatch Nuclear Plant.
Other aspects of the investigation remain under NRC review. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us.
