Nuclear Regulatory Commission 2443 Warrenville Road, Suite 21 0 Lisle, IL 60532-4352 Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 Dockets 50-266 and 50-301 License Nos. DPR-24 and DPR-27 Calculation Proiect Schedule Update Via letter dated February 20, 2009, NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra) reported that implementation of the 163 safety-related calculations that constituted the calculation review and reconstitution project would be completed by October 31, 201 1.
During the spring of 201 1, Commission approval of several significant licensing actions was received. These licensing actions included the extended power uprates (EPU) for both units. The alternate source term and AFW license amendments and the EPU amendment for Unit 2 were implemented during the spring of 201 1. The Unit 1 EPU will be implemented during the upcoming fall 201 1 refueling outage. As a result of these major plant modification activities, NextEra determined that revision and implementation of the emergency operating procedures (EOPs) to meet Westinghouse Owners Group ERG Revision 2A guidance should occur following the implementation of EPU on both units. The procedure changes will be drafted and licensed operator training will be conducted during the spring and summer of 2012. It is planned that full implementation of the revised EOPs will occur by the end of September 2012.
Accordingly, the following Regulatory Commitment is revised:
o Implementation of the 163 safety-related calculations completed during the course of the calculation review and reconstitution project will be completed by September 30, 201 2.
