- NRC-99-0057 j Page 2 Abstract of Revision 12 to.the Fermi 2 Improved Technical Specification Submittal Revision 12 to the Fermi 2 Improved Technical Specification (ITS) submittal incorporates issues 1 remaining from NRC review ofITS Section 3.3, Instrumentation. Revision bars are provided to aid in identification of the changed material. For those changes associated with an RAI, the RAI number is included with the revision bar.

Minor corrections are included in this revision. These changes consist of various format, spelling, labeling, and editorial enhancement and/or technical changes typically identified during implementation preparation. The revision bars for these changes are, except where noted, marled with a circled "A".

The following lists specific changes in Revision 12:

Corrections have been made in the Summary Disposition Matrix in submittal Volume 1.

=

The Discussion of Change (DOC) associated with relocating the snubber inspection requirements has been modified to indicate that the requirements are being relocated to the TRM.

DOC LC.1 for ITS 3.3.5.2 has been modified to reflect the basis of the change to be Fermi 2 license amendment number 75. In addition, this amendment is also the bases for surveillance frequencies in ITS 3.3.7.1.

The Bases for the Post Accident Monitoring Reactor Vessel Water Level- Fuel Zone instrument has been revised to reflect a recent design change.

Typographical errors corrected on pages B 3.3.3.1-5,3.3-42, B 3.3.5.1-22, and B 3.3.6. 2-8.

Corrections made to the markup of ISTS page 3.3-23.

The ISTS provisions for the minimum flow valve instrumentation for the ECCS pumps have been eliminated from the ITS. )

= The provisions for Manual Initiation of the ECCS, RCIC, and Isolation functions has been included in the ITS consistent with the current Technical Specification requirements.

The term " room" instead of" area" is used in describing the RWCU differential temperature isolation and the term " trip string" instead of " logic" is used in describing the Area Temperature - High

, isolation.

= DOC L.2 for ITS 3.3.6.2 has been clarified.

= The Bases for ITS 3.3.6.3 has been revised to correct the discussion of the tail pipe pres sure switches.

  • DOC 3.3.6.3 LA.1 has been revised to indicate the information is being relocated to the Technical Requirements Manual.
