Southern Nuclear hereby withdraws its request to revise the Hatch Units I and 2 Technical Specifications Section 3.9.1 to allow fuel movement with inoperable refueling interlocks. The proposed change was made to incorporate the guidance of Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) change traveler 225, revision 2. The request was submitted to NRC in a letter dated September 2, 2003.
Southern Nuclear plans to incorporate the most recent NRC guidance regarding refueling interlocks and to submit a revised application.
This letter contains no NRC commitments. If you have any questions, please advise.
