50-331 07-15-2002 Duane Arnold Energy Center Richard Woodward (319) 851-7318 Monthly Operational Overview for June 2002 At the beginning of June, the DAEC had operated five days after the ramp-up to full power following the May 19 - 23 shutdown to perform an elective repair of a condenser tube leak. Except for the following two brief power reductions, the DAEC operated nearly continuously throughout the month at full (1790 MWth) power:

1. On June 4th, from 1790 to 1772 MWth from 10:50 to 12:35 for a HPCI (High Pressure Coolant Injection) surveillance;
2.

On June 16th, from 1790 to 1666 MWth from 03:30 to 10:13 for lack of grid demand.
