U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ND-18-0814 Enclosure 4 Page 2 of 3 ITAAC Statement Desion Commitment 7.d) Physical separation is maintained between Class 1Edivisions and between Class 1E divisions and non-Class 1E cables.

Insoections. Tests. Analvses Inspections of theas-built raceways thatroute Class 1Ecables will be performed toconfirm that the separation between raceways that route Class1Ecablesof different divisions, and between raceways thatroute Class 1Ecables and raceways that route non-Class 1E cables isconsistent with the following:

v) Non-Class 1E wiring that isnot separated from Class 1E orassociated wiring by the minimum separation distance orby a barrier oranalyzed isconsidered as associated circuits and subject to Class 1E requirements.

Acceptance Criteria Results of the inspection will confirm that theseparation between raceways that route Class 1E cables ofdifferent divisions, and between raceways that route Class 1E cables and raceways that route non-Class 1E cables is consistent with the following:

v.b) For areas inside the non-radiologically controlled areaof the auxiliary building, non-Class 1E wiring that isnot separated from Class 1E orassociated wiring by the minimum separation distance or bya barrieror anaiyzed is treated as Class 1E wiring.

ITAAC Completlon Description Multiple ITAAC are performed to ensure that physical separation is maintained between Class 1E divisions and between Class 1E divisions and non-Class 1E cables. In accordance with this ITAAC, non-Class 1E wiring that is not separated from Class 1Eorassociated wiring by the minimum separation distance and for which no barrier oranalysis isprovided isconsidered as associatedcircuits and subject to Class 1Erequirements. Thesubject ITAAC requires inspections of the Class 1E and non-Class 1E raceways inside the non-radiologically controlled area of theauxiliary building toconfirm that non-Class 1Ewiring that isnot separated from Class1Eorassociated wiring by the minimum separation distance orbya barrier oranalyzed is consideredas associated circuits and subjectto Class 1E requirements. The Class 1Ecables and raceways and non-Class 1E cables inside the non-radiologically controlled areaof the auxiliary building aredesigned to beappropriately separated in accordance with APP-GW-E1-001 (Reference 1). Installation specifications provided tothe constructor identify separation criteria, consistentwith the ITAAC commitment.

Class 1E electrical cables and racewaysare installed inaccordance with design drawings, installation specifications issued for construction and work package requirements. Completed raceway installation, in-progress and completed cable installation, and completed cable terminations are inspected toensure theseparation installation specifications aresatisfied.

Inspections are performed in accordance with the Construction Quality Verification Program 26139-000-4MP-T81C-N7101 (Reference 2). Thecompleted inspection records document the

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ND-18-0814 Enclosure 4 Page 3 of 3 satisfactory separation between racewaystfiatrouteClass 1Ecables ofdifferent divisions, and between racewaysthat routeClass 1Ecables and racewaysthat routenon-Class1Ecables.

Cable Separation Reports XXX (References 3 and 4) identify the inspection reportsassociated with the raceway separation inspections and confirm that the separation between racewaysthat route Class 1E cables of different divisions, and between raceways that route Class 1E cables and raceways that route non-Class 1E cables is consistent with the following:

For areas insidethe non-radiologically controlled area ofthe auxiliary building, non-Class 1E wiring that is notseparated from Class 1Eorassociated wiring bythe minimum separation distanceor bya barrier oranalyzed isconsidered as associated circuits and subjectto Class 1E requirements.

The Cable Separation Reports (References 3 and 4) are available for NRC inspection as partof the Unit3 and Unit4ITAAC 3.3.00.07d.v.b Completion Packages (References 5 and 6, respectively).

List of ITAAC Findings In accordance with plant procedures for ITAAC completion. Southern NuclearOperating Company (SNC) performed a review ofall ITAAC findings and associatedcorrective actions.

This reviewfound no relevant ITAAC findings associated withthis ITAAC.
