Pursuantto 10 CFR 52.99(c)(3), Southern Nuclear Operating Company hereby notifies the NRC that as of March 20, 2018, Vogtle Electric Generating Plant(VEGP) Unit 3 and Unit 4 Uncompleted Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Item 2.2.03.08c.xlll [Index Number 198] has notbeen completed greaterthan 225-days prior to Initial fuel load. The Enclosure describesthe plan for completing this ITAAC. Southern Nuclear Operating Company will, at a later date, provide additional notifications for ITAAC that have not been completed 225-days prior to Initial fuel load.
This notification Is Informed bythe guidance described In NEI 08-01, Industry Guideline forthe ITAAC Closure Process Under 10 CFR Part 52, which was endorsed by the NRC In Regulatory Guide 1.215. In accordance with NEI 08-01, this notification Includes ITAAC for which required Inspections, tests, oranalyses have not been performed orhave been only partially completed. All ITAAC will be fully completed and all Section 52.99(c)(1) ITAAC Closure Notifications will be submitted to NRC to support the Commission finding that all acceptance criteria are met prior to plant operation, as required by 10 CFR 52.103(g).
This letter contains no new NRC regulatory commitments.

Insoections/Tests/Analvses xiii) Inspections will be conducted ofthe surfaces in the vicinity ofthe containment recirculation screens. The surfaces in the vicinity ofthe containment recirculation screens are the surfaces located above the bottomof the recirculation screens up to and including the bottomsurface of the plate discussed in Table 2.2.3-4, item 8.c.vii, out at least 8 ft, 3 in perpendicular tothefront and at least 7 feet to the side of the face of the screens.
Acceotance Criteria xiii) These surfaces are stainless steel.
ITAAC Completion Description Multiple ITAAC are performed todemonstrate that the Passive Core Cooling System (PXS) provides Reactor Coolant System (RCS) makeup, boration, and safetyinjection during design basis events. Forthis ITAAC, inspectionsare performed to verify that the surfaces inthe vicinity of the containment recirculation screens in the PXS are stainless steel.
Thesurfaces in the vicinity ofthe containment recirculation screens in the PXS are defined as the surfaces located above the bottom of the containment recirculation screens up to and including the bottom surface ofthe plate discussed in Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP)
Combined License Appendix C, Table2.2.3-4 item 8.c.vii, out at least 8 ft, 3 in perpendicular to the front and at least 7 feet to the side of the face of the screens.
The results ofthe inspections ofthe surfaces inthe vicinity of the containment recirculation screens in the PXS as defined above are documented in the Unit 3 and Unit 4 Principal Closure DocumentsXXX and YYY (References 1 and 2, respectively) supporting the Unit 3 and Unit 4 ITAAC 2.2.03.08c.xiii Completion Packages (References 3 and 4, respectively). The inspection confirms that the surfaces inthe vicinity of the containment recirculation screens are stainless steel.
The Unit 3 and Unit 4 Principal Closure DocumentsXXX and YYY (References 1 and 2, respecfully) are available for NRC inspection as part ofthe Unit 3 and Unit 4 ITAAC 2.2.03.08c.xiii Completion Packages (References 3 and 4, respectively).
List of ITAAC Findings In accordance with plant procedures for ITAAC completion. Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) performed a review of all ITAAC findings and associated corrective actions.
This review found there are no relevant ITAAC findings associated withthis ITAAC.
