In Reference 1, Duke Energy provided an anticipated schedule for submittal of inspection plans to implement MRP-227-A for both McGuire Nuclear Station and Catawba Nuclear Station. The expected initial inspection plan submittal date for McGuire Units 1 and 2 was Fall 2018 with initial inspection dates of Fall 2020 and Spring 2023 for McGuire Units 1 and 2, respectively.

The purpose of this letter is to update the anticipated schedule for submittal of th.e inspection plans to implement MRP-227-A. The updated inspection plan submittal date for McGuire Units 1 and 2 is Fall 2017. The expected initial inspection dates are Spring 2019 and Spring 2023 for McGuire Units 1 and 2, respectively. The dates for the submittal and initial inspections are subject to change.
