This letter provides notification that Arizona Public Service Company (APS) intends to submit a Subsequent License Renewal Application (SLRA) for the Renewed Facility Operating Licenses for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS) Units 1, 2, and 3.
The Renewed Facility Operating Licenses for PVNGS Units 1, 2, and 3, were issued on April 21, 2011, and will expire at midnight on June 1, 2045, April 24, 2046, and November 25, 2047, for Units 1, 2, and 3, respectively. APS plans to submit the SLRA for PVNGS Units 1, 2, and 3 in the fourth quarter of 2027.
This notification is being provided consistent with the reference to facilitate NRC planning for processing license renewal applications. APS will provide additional notification to the NRC staff of any changes to the anticipated schedule for filing the SLRA for PVNGS Units 1, 2, and 3.
No new commitments are being made to the NRC by this letter.
