Regarding your submittal for your triennial review of your decommissioning funding plan, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has reviewed your submittal dated December 22, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML26014A148) transmitting your triennial update to the decommissioning funding plan for Pennsylvania State University.
We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification No. (EPID) L-2026-NFA-0000. Please reference this EPID No. and Docket No.70-113 in any future correspondence associated with this request.
Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our acceptance review and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing the technical review by end of July 2026. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, need for additional/supplementing information, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 2, Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. The NRCs ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The PDR is open by appointment. Note that hard copies of the entire package, including information not suitable for public release, are being transmitted by courier.
