RETURN OF FINANCIAL ASSURANCE INSTRUMENT FOR LICENSE NO. SNM-1227
Dear Jeffrey Weiss:
By letter dated September 15, 2025, Framatome, Inc., requested the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) return the financial assurance instrument, SB 22.802 issued by Crédit Industriel at Commercial (CIC) in the amount of $57,875,197 due to an amendment to the Framatome license (No. SNM-1227) where the CIC letter of credit was replaced by a Crédit Agricole letter of credit which covered the amount that was covered by the CIC letter.
The NRC is returning the CIC financial assurance instrument that was provided to NRC for the Framatome license. The letter of credit is enclosed.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice for Domestic Licensing Proceedings and Issuance of Orders, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC website at https://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
The enclosure transmitted herewith contains proprietary information.
When separated from the sensitive conditions in the enclosure, this document is decontrolled.
