[External_Sender] RE: PDC TR & Analytical Methods TR Status Thank you Patrick! Great update!
For the PDC TR, please just let me know what the concerns are as I discussed with Stephen, a hybrid approach where we address the staffs concerns via an update sounds pretty good from our end we just need to know what the concerns are.
For the Analytical Methods, we strategically didnt send in the public version of the TR because as the document is marked as CUI via the DOD SCO guidelines, there isnt a publicly available version. But, maybe we need to talk again about this? Also, 500-600 hours sounds reasonable to me for the review. Let me run this by Brad this week and then lets people caucus as a group sometime over the next 2 week to follow-up on the specifics. Please send me some dates and Ill provide availability.
Thanks again!

RE: PDC TR & Analytical Methods TR Status Hi Mike,
Thank you for reaching out about the NRC staff review schedule.
Regarding the PDC TR, the technical staff is still developing questions and have not decided if a regulatory audit would be beneficial to the review. If the number of open questions is limited, then an audit may not be warranted. I will update you as the review continues.
The portion markings for the Analytical Methods TR clearly identify the information requested to be withheld, so your portion markings are acceptable. I did not see a non-proprietary version of the TR in the package. Normally, the cover letter, affidavit, and a public version of the TR are placed into Public ADAMS for transparency. Please let me know if you intend on updating the package or will be providing a supplement containing the public version of the topical report.
The NRC technical staff has begun its acceptability review of the Analytical Methods topical report. The NRC is within the 60-day window to complete that review and make an acceptability determination. I discussed your request in the cover letter regarding a review of the schedule with X-Energy staff related to budget constraints with the technical staff. The staff considers about 500 to 600 hours0.00694 days
0.167 hours
9.920635e-4 weeks
2.283e-4 months
to be the normal range for this type of review. How many hours were you anticipating for the review? I can setup a meeting in the next couple of weeks to refine the schedule and work hours. We would also look for clarification related to the scope of code review, application, verification, and validation. Let me know if you have any preferred dates or times.

[External_Sender] PDC TR & Analytical Methods TR Status Patrick - Its been pretty quiet these past couple of weeks. Any status updates on either document?
- 1. The PDC TR acceptance letter says that the decision on the need for an Audit would occur by last Friday (26th) Any thoughts?
- 2. The Analytical Methods TR was submitted on the 12th Did I do the portion markings correction? Any thought on acceptance?
