U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION JULY 1, 2025, TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2025, AUDIT REPORT PERTAINING TO THE REVIEW OF TOPICAL REPORT CABLE TR-R0, CONDITION MONITORING METHODOLOGY TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF CABLES (EPID L-2024-TOP-0030)
On July 1 to September 30, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a regulatory audit as part of its review of Analysis and Measurement Services Corporations (AMSs) Topical Report CABLE TR-R0, Condition Monitoring Methodology to Extend the Life of Cables. The NRC audit participants included NRC staff from the Division of Engineering and External Hazards in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
The hybrid audit was performed via Microsoft Teams and an online portal established by AMS, as well as in-person at AMS corporate office in Knoxville, TN. The purpose and objective of the audit was to better understand the technical bases used to develop the cable condition monitoring methodology proposed in the topical report and how the methodology could be consistently and conservatively applied and implemented.
