Dear Ms. Schichlein,
By letter dated October 3, 2025, Global Nuclear Fuel - Americas (GNF-A), submitted Satisfaction of Limitation and Condition 3 for NEDC-33353P, Revision 0, Licensing Topical Report Application of GNF-Ziron to GNF Fuel Designs (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25276A020), to the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and requested that the NRC provides a response back to GNF-A confirming that Limitation and Condition 3 for the topical report for NEDC-33353P, Revision 0, Licensing Topical Report Application of GNF-Ziron to GNF Fuel Designs, has been satisfied. The NRC staff performed the acceptance review of the submittal and determined that the NRC staff will perform uncomplicated confirmation review of this submittal. The schedule and effort outlined in the NRC form 898 takes into consideration the NRCs goal of a 15 percent improvement in timeliness and resources.
Please note that the NRCs current review priorities and available technical resources may be subject to change. If modifications to these dates are deemed necessary, we will provide revisions/updates to this information. If there are emergent complexities or challenges in our review that would cause changes to the initial forecasted completion date of significant changes in the forecasted hours, the reasons for the changes, along with the new estimates, will be communicated during the routine interactions with the assigned project manager. The review schedule milestones and estimated review costs were discussed and agreed upon between you and the NRC staff on December 22, 2025.
The NRC form 898, Topical Report Completeness Determination, documents the NRC staff acceptance review results. The NRC Forms 898, Topical Report Completeness Determination, and 897, Withholding Determination Form, for the GNF-A submittal Satisfaction of Limitation and Condition 3 for NEDC-33353P, Revision 0, Licensing Topical Report Application of GNF-Ziron to GNF Fuel Designs, can be located in ADAMS at Accession Nos. ML25356A090 and ML25356A089, respectively.
