Dear Mr. Poy,
Enclosed is an amendment to the Credit Agricole letter of credit number 630937003, which increases the amount of the letter of credit from $23,704,803 to $81,580,000. The reason for this amendment is because Framatome is seeking to replace the letter of credit number SB 22.802 issued by Credit Industriel et Commercial (CIC) in the amount of $57,875,197 and currently held by the NRC. This amendment enables the Credit Agricole letter of credit to also cover the amount currently covered by CIC.
We kindly ask you to quickly review and approve the enclosed amendment, then return the original CIC letter of credit, and all of its amendments, directly to CIC along with a letter requesting that it be canceled immediately upon receipt by the bank.
