Enclosed is export license amendment application PXB14c.01 from Source Production &
Equipment Co., Inc. (SPEC), which was accepted for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on December 2, 2025. In this new amendment, SPEC is seeking to modify export license PXB14c.00, that currently authorizes the export of Category 2 quantities of Cobalt-60, Iridium-192, Selenium-75, and Ytterbium-169 contained in special forms or sealed sources for use in the manufacture or use of industrial gamma radiography and brachytherapy sources to many countries listed as ultimate destinations in the license.
The purpose of this new amendment application is to revise the previously submitted amendment application, received by the NRC on June 11, 2025, to now include the specific address of the end user located in India and remove all other countries previously listed in the Ultimate Destinations, and to extend the license for 2 years. Please note that the radioactive sources requested for export remain unchanged from the original amendment application received on June 11, 2025.
Since India is a restricted destination pursuant to 10 CFR 110.29, before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
