December 11, 2025 James Warden Director, Office of Nuclear Energy, Safety & Security Bureau of International Security
& Nonproliferation U.S. Department of State 2201 C Street, NW, Room 3320 HST Washington, D.C. 20520
Dear Dir. Warden:
Enclosed is an export license application PXB17b.14, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission dated August 31, 2025, from Industrial Nuclear Co. Inc. requesting amendment No. 14 to export license PXB17b.13. This license presently authorizes the export of Category 2 quantities of Cobalt-60, Iridium-192 and Selenium-75 to Countries of Ultimate Destinations. The sealed sources will be used for industrial radiography and the development of custom design.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the date of expiration by two years.
Given Brunei, Egypt, Haiti and Niger are Tier 3 countries of ultimate destination on the application, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
If you have any questions please contact the Licensing Officer, Joanne Savoy, at Joanne.Savoy@nrc.gov and forward your response to ecnp_ebresponse.resource@nrc.gov.
Sincerely, X
Andrea Ferkile Andrea Ferkile, Branch Chief Export Controls and Non-Proliferation Branch Office of International Programs
