Docket No. 71-9372, Framatome TN-B1 Shipping Container, Amendment Request for Stud Bolt Material
References:
(1) NRC Certificate of Compliance Number 71-9372, Revision 5 Framatome Inc. (Framatome) is submitting a license amendment request to revise Certificate of Compliance USA/9372/B(U)F-96 for the Model No. TN-B1 packaging. This request includes revisions to two SAR drawings, FS1-0042698 and FS1-0042703, which form the basis for the amendment application per the provisions of 10 CFR 71.19(c).
The purpose for this amendment is to expand the allowable material specification for stud bolts welded to the interior of the packaging. This change addresses maintenance previously performed on three outer containers.
Framatome respectfully requests approval of this amendment by February 28, 2026.
However, please note that there is currently no pending shipment date identified for the three affected packaging.
Included in this application are two SAR drawings and the proprietary affidavit supporting the requested amendment.
