WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 - ONE-TIME EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENT OF 10 CFR 54.17(c) (EPID L-2025-LLE-0024)
Dear Mr. Erb:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted a one-time exemption from a requirement of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 54.17, Filing of application, for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 2. This action is in response to your request dated August 21, 2025, which requested that the Commission grant the one-time exemption from 10 CFR 54.17(c), so that the Tennessee Valley Authority will be allowed to submit a license renewal application earlier than 20 years before the expiration date of the Watts Bar, Unit 2, current operating license.
A copy of the exemption is enclosed. A Notice of Issuance for the exemption will be included in the Federal Register.
