POST - THREE MILE ISLAND (TMI) REQUIREMENT FOR CONTROL ROOM HABITABILITY Commitment No: 4040 Classification: Revision Source Document: AEP:NRC:0398C: Post-TMI Requirement (NUREG-0737) - Item III.D.3.4 Control Room Habitability, dated February 9, 1981.

Existing Commitment Statements:

The new emergency plan implementing procedures will require the operators to isolate the control room whenever a toxic or unknown gas is detected in the control room by one or more of the human senses. The procedure will state that the control room shall remain isolated until the source is found, or a determination is made that the hazard no longer exists.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST: SECURITY AND EMERGENCY PLANS Commitment No: 6377 Classification: Revision Source Document: AEP:NRC:0659X: Technical Specification Change Request Regarding Security and Emergency Plans, dated October 7, 1994.

Existing Commitment Statements:

The requirements for Plant Nuclear Safety Review Committee (PNSRC) review of the security and emergency plans, their implementing procedures and changes to those procedures will be included in the respective emergency and security plans.

Revised Commitment Statement:

Plant Operations Review Committee (PORC) shall review revisions to the Security Plan.

The requirement for this review will be included in the Site Security Plan. PORC shall review revisions to the Site Emergency Plan, their implementing procedures, and changes to those procedures. The requirement for these reviews will be included in the Site Emergency Plan.

Change Description Summary:

The on-site review committee was the PNSRC and is now PORC.

The Security organization has conducted a 50.54 Review and has subsequently revised the Site Security Plan to remove the requirement to obtain PORC approval for revisions to Site Security Plan Implementing Procedures.

LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION Commitment No: 8249 Classification: Revision Source Document: AEP:NRC:3034: License Renewal Application, dated October 31, 2003.

Existing Commitment Statements:

The Fire Water System Program will be consistent with, but include exceptions to, the program described in NUREG-1801, July 2001,Section XI.M27, as documented in License Renewal Application, Section B.1.11.2, Pages B-47 and B-48. The program will be enhanced to include the attributes documented in License Renewal Application, Section B.1.11.2, Page B-49.

The following enhancements will be implemented prior to the period of extended operation: The Fire Water System Program will be enhanced to perform non-intrusive measurement of pipe wall thickness per the Nuclear Regulatory Commission interim staff guidance (ISG-04, ADAMS ML023440137).

The following enhancements were made to monitor sprinkler heads for aging effects based on recommendations from Technical Evaluation 11-73: The Fire Water System Program will continue to perform external visual examinations and opportunistic internal inspections of sprinkler heads for aging effects that could prevent sprinkler operation.
