NRCs AI Evolution 2023 Launched discovery of potential AI use cases with broad staff engagement.

2024 Developed a plan to put an enterprise-wide AI strategy framework in place.

Established an initial governance structure.

2025 Began building technical and programmatic foundation to enable AI adoption.

Curated data sets made publicly available.

Delivered the first internal AI Tool, SimplifAI.

New NRC AI Strategic Plan.

2026 Expand AI and data solutions to enhance acceptance reviews, licensing, inspections, and mission support.
