FINAL RESPONSE TO NRC MANDATORY DECLASSIFICATION REVIEW
- MDR-001-2023
Dear Michael Ravnitzky:
On November 7, 2022, you sent the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) a request for a Mandatory Declassification Review of ten SECY papers from the year 1978.
The NRC consulted with external government entities and completed their internal review. All of the SECY papers requested have been declassified (one with redactions as noted below) and made publicly available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS Public Search), package ML25268A144, as follows:

This action concludes the NRCs Mandatory Declassification Review of your request. In accordance with Executive Order 13526 and Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 2001, Classified National Security Information, if you feel that this assessment and review is incorrect, you have the right to an administrative appeal, which must be filed within 60 days of receipt of this letter. All administrative appeals shall be made to:
