This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
Discuss potential Constellation exemptions from Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) section 50.82(a)(8)(i)(A) and 10 CFR 50.75(h)(1)(iv). The potential exemptions would allow Constellation to periodically transfer earnings from funds dedicated for activities consistent with the definition of decommission in 10 CFR 50.2 (radiological decommissioning) into separately maintained subaccounts within the Nuclear Decommissioning Trust (NDT). Potential exemptions from 10 CFR 50.75(h)(1)(iv) would allow the periodic transfers to be made without prior notification to the NRC.
