i stepped cavity is 9.56" ID by 8-1/4", 12" ID by 27-1/2" and 20" ID by l
l 11-5/8". The source holder (drawer assembly) is 9.48" OD by 46.625" p
with 9-1/2" shielding on bottom and 12-1/8" on tcp. A lead shielded y
cask insert assembly 20" OD by 9.52" ID by 12.12" is installed at the i
top'of the cask and the entire assembly is held in place with a 1" i
thick steel lid secured with twelve, 1" bolts. A cask drain line is sealed with a pipe plug. A 39" 0D laminated plywood plug fills the p
space between the top of the cask and the overpack. Plywood will be g
positioned around the circumference of the irradiator for support.

, Docket No. 71-5362 By application dated November 7,1986, the U.S. Department of Agriculture requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 5362.
No changes have been made or requested to the package since approval of the application dated October 17, 1980.
Based on the staff's findings as reported in the Approval Record of the October 17, 1980 application, the staff concludes that the requirement for renewal of the certificate of compliance has been satisfied.
