MCGUIRE NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 1; OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION UNITS 1, 2 AND 3; AND H. B. ROBINSON STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, UNIT 2 - EXEMPTIONS FROM SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF 10 CFR 50.55a IN SUPPORT OF ADOPTION OF CODE CASE N-921 (EPID L-2025-LLE-0014)
Dear Mr. Gibby:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the enclosed exemptions from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 50.55a, Codes and standards, to allow the implementation of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code Case N-921 after: the start date of the fifth inservice inspection (ISI) at McGuire Nuclear Power Station Unit 1; the start date of the sixth ISI and fourth containment ISI inservice inspection at Oconee Nuclear Station Units 1, 2 and 3; and the start date of the sixth ISI at H.B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant Unit 2. This action is in response to your application dated May 8, 2025 as supplemented by letter dated August 21, 2025 and, is available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System under Accession No. ML25128A041 and ML25233A035, respectively.
A copy of the exemptions is enclosed. The exemptions have been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
