GRAND GULF ESP-002 - EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO SUBMISSION OF EARLY SITE PERMIT RENEWAL APPLICATION (EPID L-2025-LLE-0015)
Dear Mr. Couture:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the enclosed exemption from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Sections 2.109(c) and 52.29, for ESP-002. This action is in response to your application dated May 2, 2025, that requested Entergy Operations, Inc., on behalf of System Energy Resources, Inc. (SERI), be permitted to submit an early site permit renewal application for ESP-002 no later than 45 days prior to the expiration of the permit, which is currently April 5, 2027 (Agencywide Document Access Management System Accession No. ML25122A082).
A copy of the exemption is enclosed. The exemption has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
