ISSUANCE OF SUBSEQUENT RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NOS. DPR-33, DPR-52, AND DPR-68 FOR BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3

Dear Delson C. Erb:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos.DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 to Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA),

for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN), Units 1, 2, and 3, respectively. The NRC issued the subsequent renewed facility operating licenses upon completion of its review of your application dated January 19, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Package Accession No.ML24019A009), as supplemented by letters dated January 22, 2024 (ML24022A292), October 9, 2024 (ML24283A091), November 1, 2024 (ML24306A203),

December 17, 2024 (ML24352A216), January 8, 2025 (ML25008A150), February 12, 2025 (ML25043A270 & ML25043A035), March 4, 2025 (ML25063A184), March 26, 2025 (ML25085A283), March 28, 2025 (ML25087A216), April 14, 2025 (ML25104A172), April 16, 2025 (ML25106A149), April 24, 2025 (ML25114A206), and May 1, 2025 (ML25121A174).

Accordingly, Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos.DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 for BFN Units 1, 2, and 3 will expire at midnight on December 20, 2053, June 28, 2054, and July 2, 2056, respectively.

The technical basis for issuing the subsequent renewed facility operating licenses for BFN is set forth in Safety Evaluation Report Related to the Subsequent License Renewal of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3, issued July 2025 (ML25195A021). Enclosure 1 to this letter contains Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-33 and Technical Specifications for BFN, Unit 1. Enclosure 2 to this letter contains Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-52 and Technical Specifications for BFN, Unit 2. Enclosure 3 to this letter contains Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-68 and Technical Specifications for BFN, Unit 3. No changes were made to the Technical Specifications as a result of this subsequent license renewal. to this letter, Record of Decision (ML25209A180), provides the NRC staffs evaluation of the environmental impacts of continued operation under the BFN subsequent renewed licenses. The staffs evaluation is also documented in NUREG-1437, Supplement 21, Second Renewal, Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear December 11, 2025
