OF JUNE 18, 2025, CLOSED TELECONFERENCE WITH UNION ELECTRIC COMPANY REGARDING RELIEF REQUEST I5R ALTERNATE REPAIR OF REACTOR VESSEL BOTTOM MOUNTED INSTRUMENTATION NOZZLES FOR CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT NO. 1 (EPID L-2025-LLR-0059)
On June 18, 2025, a closed meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and representatives of Union Electric Company, doing business as Ameren Missouri (the licensee), via teleconference. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss Proprietary Information provided in the submittal of Relief Request I5R-02, and inspection results of repaired reactor pressure vessel (RPV) bottom mounted instrument (BMI) nozzles at Callaway Plant, Unit 1.
The licensee submitted the subject relief request dated June 11, 202 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Package Accession No. ML25163A037). The meeting notice and agenda, dated May 20, 2025, are available in ADAMS at Accession No. ML25168A330. Enclosed is a list of attendees at the meeting.
During the meeting, the NRC staff discussed discrepancies in classification of proprietary information. The staff also had additional questions relating to inspection results of repaired RPV BMI nozzles.
