Dear Angela Sabet:
The U.S. Department of the Interior (Department) has reviewed the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (Draft SEIS) dated May 2025, concerning the license renewal (LR) of Dresden Nuclear Power Station (Dresden), Units 2 and 3 in Morris, Illinois. The Department provides the following comments.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) previously commented on this Draft SEIS in their \
June 20, 2025, letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The Department concurs with the comments provided by the Service. Should the project be modified, or new information indicating that endangered species may be affected, the Department recommends that consultation with the Service be reinitiated.
