Enclosed is export license amendment application, PXB11c.03, accepted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on May 9, 2025, from QSA Global Inc., for the export of Category 2 quantities of Americium-241, Americium 241/Be, Cesium-137, Cobalt-60, Iridium-192, and Selenium-75. The radionuclides will be used for industrial radiography, oil well logging, gauging, brachytherapy, and in calibration devices in the countries listed as ultimate destinations in the application.
The purpose of this amendment request is to remove Central African Republic as an ultimate destination, add China as a new ultimate destination, and renew the license for two years.
Given the countries of ultimate destination on the application, including that Angola is on the restricted destinations list (10 CFR 110.29), we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
