Process Questions after Acceptance Hi Milton, Well, I think the first step after the Acceptance Letter is issued is to determine if we are doing an EA versus an EIS. We are still evaluating that as we need to evaluate impact. After that decision is made, we will set a schedule and issue a scheduling letter with resources estimate.
Our SMEs have been tasked with the first cut of questions by 5/30/25. I would expect you to see them some time the week of June 1st or June 8th depending upon the complexity.
As a general rule, I wouldnt wait until the audit for all questions to be resolved. However, it will take some time to get a pertinent list of Information Needs. Having your electronic reading room up and running with access for our experts is a critical path issue. The reading room facilitates posting and answering questions without experts on a conference call. Your staff can post your responses as you receive answers and our folks can go to the electronic reading room and read the responses. There will be audit items which will require a more in-depth analysis and some information will need to be formally submitted to use at the NRC Desk so it can be placed in ADAMS and be referenced publicly in our environmental document (whatever form it takes EA v EIS).
I will refer to our ESA folks on the 3rd and 4th question.
Bob will take the lead for tomorrows meeting as I am travelling to the Midwest to take care of some personal business.

[External_Sender] RE: RE: Recommend changing our weekly 25 minute meeting in June 2025 Joe and Bob, Some questions for tomorrows meeting:
- 1. Once acceptance is made public, would we expect to receive an initial set of questions within about two weeks that came up during the acceptance review? If so, what would be the expected response time? Or, would those questions be held until the audit?
- 2. Would we use the weekly as a forum to have a chance to respond to simpler questions, such as those questions obtaining references or other documentation, or requesting clarification on statements made in the ER?
- 3. Regarding the non-Federal Representative for Section 7 ESA consultations, would the consultations occur in the name of the applicant (Long Mott Energy), such that we use letterhead for LME? Or can the Representative be affiliated with the Applicant is some manner?
- 4. Regarding the non-Federal Representative, RG 4.2 App. B1 uses language such as may regarding Section 7 ESA consultation if an Environmental Assessment is being pursued. Just to confirm, informal ESA consultation is not required if an EA?
See you tomorrow!

RE: RE: Recommend changing our weekly 25 minute meeting in June 2025 Hi Milton, Yes Monday at 9:30 a.m. starting in June will be fine. We have a 10:00 a.m. with Safety & Licensing folks so we wont be able to expand it to an hour. Perhaps we can come up with a better day for a one hour expanded meeting to discuss related topics as we get into Information Needs, etc.

Would Mondays at 9:30 work for your team? Also, should we extend to an hour beginning in June?

Recommend changing our weekly 25 minute meeting in June 2025 Hi Milton, Id like to move our meeting time from Thursdays to Monday or Tuesday in the a.m. starting in June. I think it would assist us in the Information Needs process. If we could make our ask earlier in the week rather than later, it may assist you in lining up the talent you need at least a week in advance. Let me know your thoughts and if this would work out.
