EDWIN I. HATCH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Jamie Coleman:
By letter dated May 15, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25135A390), Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. submitted an application for subsequent license renewal (SLR) of Facility Operating License No. DPR-57 and NPF-5 for Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Hatch), to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.101(a)(2) (10 CFR 2.101(a)(2)) and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, the NRC staff will issue a schedule for the review, in accordance with 10 CFR 2.102(a).
For your information, we have enclosed a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Harris as the project manager for the safety review, and Ashley Waldron as the project manager for the environmental review of your SLR application. Please forward copies of all SLR correspondences to Brian Harris and Ashley Waldron. Dawnmathews Kalathiveettil is responsible for the project management of all issues other than SLR for Hatch.
