Enclosed is export license application XSNM3851 which was accepted for review by the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission on April 18, 2025. In this export license application, Framatome Inc. is requesting to export 50,000 kilograms (kgs) of uranium, enriched up to 4.85%, containing 2,425 kgs of uranium-235 in the form of uranium dioxide (UO2) powder to Japan for use as reload fuel at Ohi, Mihama, and Takahama Nuclear Power Stations.
Assurances from Japan that the material will be subject to all the terms and conditions of the agreement for nuclear cooperation are required. Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances is appreciated.
