REVIEW OF THE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION UNITS 2 AND 3, SUPPLEMENT TO THE POST-SHUTDOWN DECOMMISSIONING ACTIVITIES REPORT (EPID: L-2025-LLN-0002)
Dear Mr. Bailly:
As explained in a letter dated March 5, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25071A201, Southern California Edison (SCE) provided a supplement titled, Historic Property Survey Report Southern California Edison San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station San Diego County, California (ML25071A203) to the Rev.1 of the Post-Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR) for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 2 and 3 (ML20136A339). In the letter, SCE indicated that following a discussion with the U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on March 12, 2024 (ML24137A240), it was determined that the discussion provided in Section IV.A 14 of Rev. 1 of the PSDAR (ML20136A339) should be expanded to include any potential historical significance of the SONGS structures themselves.
The NRC staff has completed its review of your conclusions in your March 5 letter and the supplemental submittal, to include the historical survey. The NRC staff find your supplement and associated conclusions acceptable and has no questions or further comments.
