UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO - ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 8 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. R-102 FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO AGN-201M REACTOR (EPID NO. L-2025-NFA-0000)
Dear Dr. Davis:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 8 to Facility Operating License No. R102 for the University of New Mexico (UNM) AerojetGeneral Nucleonics-201 Modified (AGN-201M) Reactor (UNMR). The amendment consists of a change to the facility operating license in response to UNMs application, dated January 14, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML25027A371), as supplemented by letter dated March 26, 2025 (ML25085A117). The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The revised facility operating license condition reflects a clarification to the description of the material in which the special nuclear material in the UNMR core fuse is embedded.
