SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
OF RESPONSE TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION (NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05-
00361/2025001; 05-00362/2025001)
Dear Frederic Bailly:
This letter acknowledges your letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) dated
March 20, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession
No. ML25084A053), which provided a response to the Notice of Violation that was issued in NRC
Inspection Report 05-00361/2025001; 05-00362/2025001 (ADAMS Accession No.
ML25045A210). This Notice of Violation involved a failure to maintain the require standoff
distance between ignition sources and combustible materials.
We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We
have no further questions at this time and will review the effectiveness of your corrective actions
during a future inspection to determine whether full compliance has been achieved and
maintained.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Agency Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made
available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or in the NRCs
ADAMS, accessible from the NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
