NRC 897 - TEUSA PIE TR.pdf NRC 898 - TEUSA PIE TR.pdf Mr. Carleton, Attached is the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff completeness determination (Form 898) and Withholding Determination (Form 897) for Terrestrial Energys Topical Report on Postulated Initiating Events for the IMSR400 Revision A (TR241231). Based on a preliminary review of the report, the NRC staff determined that it provides sufficient information for beginning a detailed technical review. The NRC staff plans to issue the Draft Safety Evaluation by August 29, 2025, contingent on Terrestrial Energys responses to the staffs audit questions and requests for additional information (RAIs). If necessary, the NRC staff will issue RAIs by May 16, 2025. The NRC staff estimates a level of effort of 350 hours0.00405 days <br />0.0972 hours <br />5.787037e-4 weeks <br />1.33175e-4 months <br /> will be needed to complete the technical review and issue the Final Safety Evaluation. The NRC staff will communicate, any changes to the review schedule or estimated NRC staff hours, including the reason(s) for the changes, as deemed necessary.
