Dear Commissioners and Staff:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) submitted Reference 1 that requested approval of a proposed amendment to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-80 and DPR-82 for Diablo Canyon Power Plant Units 1 and 2, respectively. The license amendment request (LAR) proposes alternative security measures for the implementation of the Early Warning System in accordance with 10 CFR 73.55(r). Exemption from 10 CFR 73.55(e)(9)(vi)(A) is also requested in accordance with 10 CFR 73.5.
