Dear Ms. Maddocks,
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has concluded its completeness determination for Long Mott Energy, LLC Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD) for review. The NRC staff determined that the QAPD provides sufficient information for the NRC staff to begin a detailed technical review. As discussed on January 15, 2025, with Jessica Maddocks, the NRC staff plans to issue the Draft Safety Evaluation by August 15, 2025. If necessary, the NRC staff will issue requests for additional information (RAIs) by March 28, 2025. The NRC staff estimates a level of effort of 200 hours0.00231 days <br />0.0556 hours <br />3.306878e-4 weeks <br />7.61e-5 months <br /> will be needed to complete the technical review and issue the Final Safety Evaluation. The schedule and level of effort could change due to several factors such as the need for additional rounds of RAIs, unanticipated changes to the scope of the review, vendor delays, unsolicited supplements to the topical report, unexpected ACRS involvement, etc. The NRC staff will communicate, any changes to the review schedule or estimated NRC staff hours, including the reason(s) for the changes.
