SUMMARY
REPORT ASSOCIATED WITH THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFFS REVIEW OF THE DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (EPID NUMBER: L-2024-SLE-0002) (DOCKET NUMBERS: 50-237 AND 50-249)
Dear Christopher Wilson:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff conducted the environmental scoping process and solicited public comments pursuant to Section 51.29 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) from August 5, 2024, to September 4, 2024. This process helped determine the scope of the staffs environmental review of the application for subsequent licenses renewal of the renewed facility operating licenses for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3. The scoping process is the first step in the development of a Dresden Nuclear Power Station - specific supplement to NUREG-1437, Volume 1, Revision 2, Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System ML24086A526).
At the conclusion of the scoping process, the staff prepared the enclosed environmental scoping summary report identifying comments received during the scoping period. In accordance with 10 CFR 51.29(b), the NRC staff will send a copy of the scoping summary report to each participant in the scoping process.
