U.S. EPR STANDARD DESIGN CERTIFICATION APPLICATION OF EXTENSION OF EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS 50.46(a)(3)(iii)
Dear Mr. Peters:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the extension of the one-time exemption from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 50, Section 46(a)(3)(iii) for the U.S. EPR Standard Design Certification Application. This action is in response to your request dated April 17, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24114A037).
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.12, the staff has determined that the request does not present an undue risk to public health or safety and is consistent with the common defense and security; furthermore, special circumstances are present. A copy of the exemption can be found in ADAMS at Accession No. ML24296A059. The exemption has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
