VENDOR INSPECTION OF FRAMATOME, INC. SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Dear Mr. Montalbano:
This letter documents the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform an inspection of Framatome, Inc.s facility in Lynchburg, VA to review implementation of your Safeguards Information Protection Program in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 73.21, Protection of Safeguards Information: Performance Requirements, 10 CFR 73.22, Protection of Safeguards Information: Specific Requirements, and the Commission Order No. EA-07-231, Order Imposing Safeguards Information Protection Requirements and Fingerprinting and Criminal History Records Check Requirements for Access to Safeguards Information, for handling Safeguards Information (SGI) related to new reactor designs. As discussed during via electronic mail on November 26, 2024, the inspectors plan to conduct the inspection on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter.
