License Amendment Request to Update the Licensee Designation of Authority Title for the Three Mile Island Unit 2 Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation, Docket 72-20, Materials License No. SNM-2508 (CLN240550)
Dear Sir or Madam:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 72.56 and as documented in the enclosure, the Department of Energy, Idaho Cleanup Project (DOE ICP), requests an amendment to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
License SNM-2508.
This License Amendment Request (LAR) would revise the SNM license to modify the title of the designated DOE licensee position with the authority to serve as the Secretary of Energys authorized representative in accordance with NRC regulations at 10 CFR 72.16(b). These documents currently assign licensee authority under the license to the Deputy Manager, Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP). The LAR removes the specific position title Deputy Manager, Idaho Cleanup Project and designates the Manager for the Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP), as the designated authority and authorized representative in all matters regarding the license. The designation would be effective upon approval of this LAR. Additionally, proposed changes include an editorial change to TS 5.5.1.b to refer to the 10 CFR 72.48 regulation and remove outdated language, title changes to refer to Department of Energy (DOE) ICP instead of DOE Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID), and other editorial and formatting changes throughout the document.
