November 14, 2024 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION BEFORE THE ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD In the Matter of DUKE ENERGY CAROLINAS, LLC (Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3)

Docket No. 50-269-SLR-2, 50-270-SLR-2, 50-287-SLR-2 NRC STAFF NOVEMBER 14, 2024, WEEKLY STATUS REPORT As required by the Licensing Boards October 18, 2024, Memorandum and Order, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Staff is filing this weekly status report.1 As stated in the NRC Staffs November 8, 2024, weekly status report,2 the NRC Staff is taking actions consistent with the 2018 Memorandum of Understanding3 with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regarding NRC Staff Non-Public Attachments A-D4; Attachment B to the Licensing Boards October 9, 2024, ex parte/separation of functions Memorandum (nonpublic)5; as well as the ex parte/separation of functions communications associated with the August 19, 1 See Licensing Board Memorandum and Order (Requesting Weekly NRC Staff Status Report on Redaction Review Efforts) at 2-3 (Oct. 18, 2024) (ML24292A130) (October 18, 2024, Memorandum and Order) (stating, This weekly reporting obligation will continue until the Staff provides for the public record of this proceeding final redacted versions of the four documents and the referred ex parte/separation of functions communications.).

The NRC Staff will continue to provide weekly status reports, as directed by the Licensing Boards October 18, 2024, Memorandum and Order,7 with the next weekly status report being due on November 22, 2024. If new information becomes available before the next weekly status report, the NRC Staff will update the Licensing Board and parties as soon as additional information becomes available.
