RE: Renewal of Transport Package Certificate No. 9310

Good afternoon Steven,

Yes, please coordinate with Norma, as I am retiring from the NRC in 2 weeks.

You can always mail the document to the Document Control Desk, the address is:

ATTN: Document Control Desk, Director, Division of Fuel Management, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555-0001

I would also suggest that you send Norma an electronic copy of the application, otherwise it could take a couple of weeks for us to receive it. If it contains proprietary information and you have no issues emailing it, that is up to you. NRC does not have any requirements on how we receive applications, only on the information we send out. Alternatively, some companies have a private server access they can set up for NRC to log into and down load the information.

I would ask that if Norma disagrees with me, she be the one to let you know, as I am working my way out the door.

[External_Sender] Renewal of Transport Package Certificate No. 9310

Good afternoon,

A few months ago, I exchanged emails with you regarding the renewal of a CoC for a one of our transport containers - the F-431 (Certificate No. 9310). I finally had the opportunity to prepare a CoC renewal document for this container and I have attempted to submit it via the NRC electronic pathway.

Unfortunately, any time I attempt to create a digital ID certificate, I get the warning "Server Error - the resource cannot be found".

May I submit our application renewal request directly to each of you? Or is there a security concern?

Note that when I reviewed the renewal in 2019, I could see that my predecessor, Edna Sacay, had been communicating with Norma via email exchanges so I'm wondering if this approach is still acceptable.

Thank you,

Steve Muldoon Radiation Safety Officer
