September 25, 2024 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION BEFORE THE ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD In the Matter of DUKE ENERGY CAROLINAS, LLC (Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3)
Docket No. 50-269-SLR-2, 50-270-SLR-2, 50-287-SLR-2 NRC STAFF SEPTEMBER 25, 2024, STATUS UPDATE Consistent with the NRC Staffs September 11, 2024, status update,1 the NRC Staff is providing this update to inform you that the process for reviewing the ex parte/separation of functions communications received by the Licensing Board2 is progressing but is not yet complete. The NRC Staff will either provide another status update or a copy of the publicly available versions of these communications with any appropriate redactions on or before October 16, 2024. Again, the NRC Staff appreciates the position the Licensing Board is in regarding these communications and is striving to complete the process for reviewing these documents as efficiently as possible.
