SUMMARY
By letter dated August 6, 2024, Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), requested renewal on behalf of the Department of Energy for Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 9218, for the Model No. TRUPACT-II transportation package. SIMCO did not request any changes to the package design or its authorized contents. The CoC has been renewed for a 5-year period.
EVALUATION SIMCO did not request any changes to the package design, operating procedures, acceptance tests and maintenance program of the package. The staff reviewed the package application, in support of the renewal request and determined that the documentation was available and complete.
CONDITIONS The following changes have been made to the CoC:
Condition No. 14, which contained the expiration date for use of Rev. 25, was updated to reflect the new expiration date for Rev. 28 of September 30, 2029.
Condition No. 15, which contained the previous expiration date for Rev. 27, was deleted.
References were updated to reference the application dated October 31, 2022.
CONCLUSION This change does not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.
