Dear Daniel Ashworth:
Please find enclosed the original Argonaut Insurance Company surety bond and associated Power of Attorney, dated July 15, 2022, that BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc. - Lynchburg submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to comply with decommissioning financial assurance requirements. The originals of these financial instruments are being returned, as they are no longer required for financial assurance and have been replaced by a new surety bond received by letter dated May 1, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML24135A076).
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. The ADAMS database is accessible from the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The PDR is open by appointment.
